FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Independent Candidate Matthew Hallock Certified for Fairfield First Selectman Special Election on February 3, 2026

FAIRFIELD, CT

Matthew Hallock, founder of the investigative platform The Voice, has officially been certified by the Connecticut Secretary of the State's office as an independent, third-party candidate for Fairfield First Selectman.

The certification follows a successful grassroots petition drive, bypassing traditional party channels to secure a place on the February 3, 2026 Special Election ballot.

"This election is a clear victory for the citizens who are tired of the status quo," said Matthew Hallock. "The mandate is overwhelming: Fairfield wants an immediate, transparent plan to fix Towers (big buildings), Traffic, and Taxes. My campaign is centered on delivering that plan and putting power back in the hands of the people."

Key Campaign Angles (The Who, What, When, Where, Why):

The Mandate: Hallock's campaign is driven by the results of the ongoing Fairfield Citizen Governance Survey (Unofficial Town Referendum), which shows an overwhelming citizen mandate to immediately address Towers, Traffic, and Taxes.

The Platform: The campaign is centered on structural reform to address the ways vested interests and out-of-town actors have manipulated local governance, including the controversial Charter Revision document.

The Intelligence (Proprietary Information): Hallock has launched The Voice: Fairfield Intel, a premium intelligence service detailing the Day One strategy and providing the exclusive evidence from the manuscript The Fixing of CT: Reform, Renewal and Reruns of the Same Old.

ACTION ITEM: We encourage all members of the media to review the official campaign launch and the citizen mandate that secured this ballot position:
